Senior Network Engineer
Responsibilities:
To provide support in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable connectivity infrastructure, including on premise LAN, WAN, Network Security, Network Wireless, Network automation and Network monitoring technologies.
The accountability on connectivity systems includes a highly complex ecosystem with 3 divisions / 11 countries and more than 45 sites connected. A global standardization and harmonization roadmap remains to be conducted.
- All systems being worldwide and interconnected, the Senior Network Engineer will support all strategy and policies compliant with the group and define APAC standards and apply them in a harmonized way to all entities. In this context, he will work closely with the central domain and PSL of each division to support strategies and roadmaps rollout
- To support Architects when developing technical roadmaps for Connectivity upgrades, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.
- To collaborate with cross-functional teams in APAC/Central to assess and address connectivity issues, ensuring timely resolution.
- To support PSL to oversee the design, build and run of Connectivity based on Cisco, Bluecoat and Palo Alto technologies.
- To support PSL in increasing the usage of Network automation on the infrastructure in APAC.
- To support the APAC/Central CyberSecurity team in establishing and enforcing security protocols, policies, and procedures to safeguard system integrity and protect against cyber threats. This includes all CyberSecurity driven infrastructure deployments and enhancements in APAC.
- To support PSL in evaluating emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to enhance Connectivity capabilities and efficiency.
- To support Connectivity Lead in preparing and managing budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines for cloud and hosting initiatives.
- As Connectivity is a key lever in budget and customer satisfaction, to support PSL in continuous improvement, standardization and harmonization lever in APAC and the group
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Contribute and collaborate within D&IM domains, and other internal stakeholders to translate opportunities and challenges into innovative technology solutions for Connectivity.
- Manage/coordinate Connectivity projects and initiatives assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field;
- Proven experience (>5 years) in Connectivity design, implementation, and management.
- In-depth experience knowledge in the following areas:
○ Local Area Network deployment and troubleshooting
○ Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and Wifi technologies deployment and troubleshooting
○ Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco Software Defined Access deployment and troubleshooting
○ Network Security technologies such as Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ASA/FirepowerVPN gateways, Cisco ISE and Bluecoat proxy
○ Knowledges in Network automation, scripting or programming
○ High Availability and Disaster recovery
○ Data Center networks
○ Vendor management
- Experience with network monitoring tools, protocols (SNMP) troubleshooting techniques, and performance optimization.
