Senior Occupational Therapist (NUHS@Home)*(10119)

Join NUHS@Home, an innovative and transformative healthcare initiative at the National University Health System. We are looking for a forward-thinking Occupational Therapist to play a key role in revolutionising patient care within our Hospital-at-Home programs including Mobile Inpatient Care (MIC)-at-Home . This flexible role, available as full or part-time, allows you to practice at the top of your license, leveraging your expertise in Occupational Therapy to make an impact on patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and manage patients referred for Occupational Therapy independently and implement appropriate treatment plans.

  • Communicate with referring doctor and other members of the medical team

  • Document patient Occupational Therapy records accurately.

  • Charge patients accurately.

  • Comply with clinical and service standards.

  • Practice within areas of professional competence and seek clinical support from supervisor / other healthcare professionals when appropriate.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare members and participate in case conferences.

  • Assist and/or co-lead in projects and activities which supports the goals of the department and organisation at department or institution level.

  • Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

  • Manage and oversee therapy equipment inventory.

  • Contribute to departmental in-service training programmes, home hospital educational talks and external talks/ workshops/ forums/ seminars

  • Contribute to development and implementation of protocols and guidelines that will shape the future of hospital-at-home and virtual care at NUHS

  • Review and update of clinical protocols and SOPs

  • Assist in developing, promoting /marketing clinical services

  • Assist in the induction of new Occupational Therapists.

  • Supervise students on clinical attachment

Qualifications:

  • Full AHPC registration

  • Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Min. 2 years of relevant working experience

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Service oriented and customer focus

  • Motivated, self-driven and able to work independently and collaboratively in a team
