Your role: Senior P2P Specialist

Supports the processes associated with global purchasing and procurement buyer activities at Elanco. This role will require good coordination among operational teams and partnership with business counterparts and other business stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and controls for the P2P function. This position does not have any direct reports.

Your Responsibilities:

The responsibilities listed below can convert into approximately the following level of engagement: 50% of operational support, 30% of project work and prioritization and 20% of training and documentation.

Operational Process Support, Governance, Stakeholder Management

  • Creating and owning Supplier Enablement strategy for new and existing Elanco vendors.

  • Manage supplier integration and onboarding into the Ariba Network, educate suppliers on Client’s supplier enablement process in line with Category Managers strategy.

  • Validate that suppliers are active in the P2P and ERP systems for procurement transactions.

  • Helping suppliers to be appropriately set in Elanco systems. Serve as Ariba Network administrator.

  • Supporting new and existing suppliers in regards of document exchange issues and queries.

  • Track failed documents in Ariba Buyer Network and reach out to supplier to address and correct issues.

  • Serve as the supplier’s point of contact to address questions and gather necessary information for supplier enablement.

  • Facilitates the purchase of materials, equipment and services through requirements clarification, soliciting bids, evaluating quotations and selecting suppliers for products and services that are above the bid threshold or not part of the global category management sourcing process.

  • Analyze Purchase Requisitions for non-catalog spend to identify the most cost effective supplier to award business and support Elanco’s purchasing needs

  • Adheres to process governance including regular reporting and analysis of key metrics that converts to creating attractive data visualizations.

  • Supports by reviewing, analyzing data, and suggesting preferred suppliers’ for non‑catalog requisitions.

  • Executes the governance process to evaluate and implement localization / customization.

Project Work, Continuous Improvement, Training, and documentation

  • Supports the continuous improvement project and mindset across ESC and Business Organizations

  • Run training and supplier summits as they transition for the first time on to the Ariba Network.

  • Collaborate with FCoE (Finance Center of Excellence, Global Process Owners) and other stakeholders at improving process efficiency and quality.

  • Maintains training materials and delivers end user trainings.

Skills & Capabilities

  • Maintains training materials and delivers end user trainings.

  • Experience in the Purchase to Pay processes, specifically Supplier Enablement, Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Approved/Preferred Supplier Lists, Catalog Purchasing.

  • Strong knowledge of SAP and Ariba Procurement platform; experience and knowledge of several of the Ariba modules including Sourcing, Contracting, Supplier Lifecycle Management and Performance, Procurement and Spend Reporting.

  • Operational awareness of all applicable US SoX & Operational controls for your area and ability to demonstrate a strong compliance oriented mindset

  • Demonstrate excellence in all interactions with our ESC internal customers & business partners.

  • Actively work with core team members, internal customers/business partners, and distribution team members to build effective working relationships

  • Exceptional understanding of the critical success factors for ESC as reliable, effective and efficient business service provider

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent)

  • 3 years of experience in P2P SSC/BPO environment

  • Knowledge of SAP ERP & Ariba Network system is a must

  • Ability to work in global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external team members

  • Initiative-taking and independent individual

  • Ability to proactively & effectively resolve people, process and technology problems

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and complete key tasks and deliverables

  • Able to respond flexibly to customer needs, effectively managing expectations

  • Attentive to details to ensure compliance and accurate reporting

  • Experience of working to tight deadlines and analyzing multiple entities

  • Flexibility in adapting to a non-routine and fast paced environment

  • Proficient in MS Office tools

  • Proficient in English is mandatory
