Senior Payroll Specialist

You will lead end-to-end biweekly US payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees including equity-related payroll and you will resolve employee payroll inquiries with speed and precision. You will compile payroll inputs from multiple sources, validate data for accuracy, and ensure timely, compliant processing. You will collaborate with HR and Finance to process changes and reconcile records, and you will identify opportunities to automate and streamline payroll workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end biweekly US payroll processing for salaried and hourly employees including equity-related payroll and daily cycles for non-qualified stock options
• Compile payroll input from multiple sources, validating data for accuracy and completeness before each cycle
• Drive timely resolution of employee payroll inquiries in Jira within SLA, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Partner with HR and Finance and cross-functional teams to process employee changes in payroll and cross-check data accuracy
• Lead timecard tracking and reconciliation to ensure alignment between timekeeping systems and payroll records
• Support continuous process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains in payroll workflows

Requirements

• Experience with multi-state payroll processing and tax compliance (federal state and local)
• Experience processing payroll for employees receiving equity compensation including restricted stock units
• Hands-on proficiency with payroll platforms UKG Pro and Workday HCM and HRIS integrations in a high-volume environment
• Track record of resolving complex payroll issues independently with root cause analysis and process improvements
• Proficiency with Google Workspace Slack Jira and Apple products for daily collaboration and case management
• Ability to use generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency cost and quality
• Familiarity with cloud-native data environments Snowflake Databricks and BigQuery and their metadata lineage and governance capabilities at scale
