Senior Performance Test Engineer

Columbia Sportwear Company is seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer in Portland, OR responsible for leading performance testing initiatives, which include planning, developing, executing performance tests and stress tests, to measure E2E performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks; Key responsibilities include analyzing test results, collaborating with development teams on optimizations, creating reports, and mentoring junior engineers; Design pervasive integration between Quality Automation and Development and Operations (DevOps) process; Ensure performance tests are integrated into CI/CD pipelines and work with stakeholders to define performance goals; Work with internal teams and vendors to set up cloud and on-premise hosted performance environments; Solve complex problems and develop creative solutions using tools and technologies, including relational databases, Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS) and Architecture, Web Services (REST, SOAP, WCF), JSON, XML, JavaScript, VB, Java, PowerShell; Contribute to the enhancement of performance testing framework and methodologies; This is a hybrid role.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field (foreign equivalent), and 60 months of experience in job offered or related position, including experience with: Designing and building performance testing solutions; Performance testing tools like CloudTest, LoadRunner, JMeter, K6; Strong programming skills in languages used for scripting (C, JavaScript, VB, Python); Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Grafana and Dynatrace; Working knowledge on Retail and Ecommerce platforms like Dynamics 365 and Salesforce Commerce Cloud; Experience in data and log analysis using KQL, SQL; Working knowledge of Azure services like Service Bus, Cosmos DB , AppInsights; Strong Understanding of system architecture, networks, and operating systems; Good Understanding of source control like GitHub and Bitbucket; and Defect Analysis reporting and tracking using tools like HP ALM, JIRA.
