Senior Process Engineer - Chemical and Slurry
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, translating complex engineering concepts into actionable insights during presentations, workshops, and progress reviews.
- Oversee the development of engineering deliverables, including detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations for systems such as structural frameworks, mechanical assemblies, electrical networks, or process flows.
- Mentor process engineers.
- Evaluate proposals submitted by vendors, conduct tender interviews and clarifications, and review re-submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Document tendering activities and prepare comprehensive reports, including final vendor recommendations for the client.
- Ensure that the installation and start-up of systems align with the process design intent and meet user requirements.
- Oversee the mechanical construction installation in the field, ensuring it meets user requirements and adheres to industry standards.
- Manage the pre-commissioning and commissioning of specific systems, ensuring they meet user requirements and follow testing and commissioning procedures and plans.
- Review documentation submitted by vendors, ensuring comments are incorporated to meet the design intent of the system for the project.
- Collaborate with other design disciplines within the organization to address process-related issues and ensure cohesive project execution.
- Approve key deliverables for procurement and construction purposes, ensuring they meet project specifications and timelines.
- Work closely with the client to optimize processes and ensure the facility is cost-effective and meets corporate expectations.
- Oversee the installation of processing equipment systems, ensuring they meet client requirements and are installed correctly.
- Participate in Vendor Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and pre-commissioning activities as required to ensure systems are operational and meet project specifications.
- Ensure activities comply with safety regulations and industry standards, promoting a safe working environment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in design review meetings to present and discuss the BIM model, incorporating feedback and making necessary adjustments.
- Work with quality assurance teams to ensure that the BIM model meets relevant standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with construction teams to provide detailed models and drawings that support the construction process, including clash detection and resolution.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related engineering field
- MSc / MEng preferred
- 8 - 10 years of professional experience
