Role
The Senior Processing Executive will process more complex transaction (referrals) within the process which have been traditionally been processed by experienced UK team members. The Senior Processing Executive will also be required to support the SME by acting as an SME to the more junior team members when required as well as supporting any training.

EQ India Operations team works closely with the EQ Group functions across UK, US and Amsterdam to provide operations support to Shareholder Solutions, Pensions Solutions, Investment Services, Employee Benefit Solutions, KYC Operations, Customer Experience Centre, Reconciliations, and Innovation. This service is delivered from our offices in India based out of Chennai and Bangalore.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide day to day oversight and control ownership
- Support training and knowledge transfer from US teams
- Act as escalation points and quality control leads
- Be client / stakeholder facing where required
- Perform a wide range of advanced reconciliation and support activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion of client and firm account reconciliations in line with internal service standards and U.S. regulatory expectations.
- Manage complex reconciliation exceptions and inquiries, provide clear and well‑supported responses, and escalate high‑risk or unresolved issues to senior team members or leadership when appropriate.
- Take responsibility for meeting daily and monthly reconciliation deadlines, consistently delivering high‑quality outputs and supporting overall team performance.
- Continue developing technical expertise in reconciliation processes, regulatory requirements and internal systems, proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, streamline workflows, and enhance service delivery.
- Be flexible with the shift timings.
- Perform both routine and complex reconciliation tasks independently, adapting to changing business priorities and supporting broader operational needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to documented procedures, internal control frameworks and reporting requirements, including those related to safeguarding client assets and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Operate in alignment with regulatory expectations and internal governance standards, maintaining a strong compliance mindset in all reconciliation activities.
- Complete all reconciliation tasks within established security and data‑protection protocols, recognizing the importance of safeguarding sensitive financial information.
- Ensure all reconciliation outputs meet quality management standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and accountability, ensuring all work complies with physical and information‑security requirements.
Competencies and Experience
- 2-4 years experience in reconciliations.
- Proven record of excellent quality and productivity.
- Uses clear and concise speech to communicate effectively and confident in delivery to others.
- Selects appropriate information to complete standard letter.
- Produces accurate and legible written work at all times.
- Deals with a greater level of complex correspondence and acts as SME.
- Uses straightforward personal planning to organise own work effectively.
- Supports the Team Leader in the daily management of the team.
- Knows where to find things and adheres to deadlines.
- An experienced user of all systems within our operation, understanding and able to communicate clearly to others the functions for producing a range of outputs.
- Understands the main activities of own business unit/area. Able to communicate this effectively to other team members.
- A good understanding of specified products throughout the India operation.
- Where appropriate is aware of regulatory practices and constraints which impact on own work and those of the team.
