We are seeking an experienced product professional to be part of the Corporate Strategy & Product team within Perpetual Corporate Trust. This role is suited to someone with strong financial markets or banking experience who can define problems, design solutions and deliver end to end product outcomes.
You will support the execution of our custody strategy by driving product design, developing scalable service models and enabling go to market initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, product and delivery. You will own product development across the full lifecycle, from shaping use cases and operating models to building scalable, market ready services. A strong understanding of custody or asset servicing is essential, along with the ability to assess commercial opportunities and drive strategic outcomes. Exposure to digitisation or tokenisation of real assets is advantageous.
Working closely with senior stakeholders you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping product direction, managing technical delivery, and ensuring high-quality releases across a complex environment.
About the Role
Custody strategy enablement
Support the translation of PCT custody strategy into executable product, partnership and go-to-market initiatives
Develop clear product narratives, value propositions and strategic roadmaps aligned to custody growth objectives
Support strategy refinement based on market, regulatory and competitive developments
Core custody capability (systems and business model)
Assist in the definition and documentation of the custody service models, operating models and commercial frameworks
Lead product requirements development for custody systems, workflows and data capabilities
Partner with Perpetual Digital to design scalable, secure and compliant custody infrastructure
Support business case development, pricing models and financial analysis for custody products
Partnerships and ecosystem enablement
Support the Identification, evaluation and recommendation of strategic partnerships to extend custody capabilities (e.g. global custodians, platforms, providers, technology partners)
Assist in leading commercial and product evaluation of partnership opportunities, including due diligence and structuring
Support negotiation and onboarding of partners in collaboration with Legal, Risk and Commercial teams
Define integration models covering service scope, data flows, operating responsibilities and client experience
Future custody propositions
Support the development and activation of future-state custody offerings over time, including adjacent product extensions
Evaluate the impact of tokenisation on the business and investigate potential product offerings & partnerships
Conduct market scanning and research to identify emerging opportunities (e.g. digital assets, tokenisation, new asset classes)
Develop early-stage concepts, business cases and pilot initiatives to test new propositions
Go-to-market and sales enablement
Assist in the development of custody go-to-market plans, including target segments, positioning and messaging
Support Sales in client engagement, presentations and complex solution structuring
Support the development of product collateral, pitch materials and thought leadership to support market engagement
Engage with key clients and industry participants to validate product direction and build pipeline
Stakeholder engagement and delivery
Coordinate cross-functional delivery across Product, Technology, Sales, Risk, Legal and Operations
Translate complex strategy and product concepts into clear, actionable outputs for stakeholders
Support executive and Board-level materials relating to custody strategy and product development
About you
Ideally, you are a product manager or have worked within a product team. You have a strong background in defining problems, designing effective solutions, and executing on those solutions. This experience is essential for successfully managing product development and delivery, ensuring that each stage from problem identification through to execution is handled proficiently and results in outcomes that meet stakeholder needs.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Business, Law or a related field; postgraduate qualifications (MBA, CFA) preferred
7+ years in product, strategy, corporate development, or financial services, with strong experience in financial markets, especially custody, asset servicing, or funds management
Exposure to digitisation and tokenisation of real assets initiatives
Ideally you will have proven experience as a Technical Product Manager or Product Owner, or similar role
Expertise in custody products, end-to-end solution design, and product management across the full lifecycle
Skilled at strategic partnerships, commercial arrangements, and go-to-market support
Strong knowledge of financial markets, client needs, and competitive landscape
Proficient in developing business cases, financial models, and making strategic recommendations
Demonstrated ability to balance strategy, product, and execution; influence senior stakeholders; and manage sensitive information and competing priorities in fast-paced settings.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
