Job Description\:

This role will drive the delivery of new projects and enhancements on the Archer platform, working in an Agile environment and collaborating closely with product, architecture and security teams. A key responsibility is the development and maintenance of integrations using various scripting approaches. You will shape technical designs, implement platform automation, and ensure integrations and configurations meet best‑practice standards.

Core duties\:

  • You will act as the technical authority for the Archer platform, providing guidance on architecture, integrations and solution design
  • You will develop and maintain integrations using JavaScript and other scripting approaches, ensuring reliability, security and scalability
  • You will design and implement automation within the Archer platform to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes
  • You will provide technical governance including code reviews, standards definition, documentation and best‑practice enforcement
  • You will collaborate with stakeholders across IT, security and business teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • You will drive continuous improvement through identifying optimisation opportunities, improving platform stability and contributing to the GRC technology roadmap

Essential Skills\:

  • You will have extensive demonstrable experience working with the Archer platform in a technical or product delivery capacity
  • You will have proven experience delivering technology solutions within an Agile environment
  • You will have evidenced experience with JavaScript in production environments (integrations, workflows, automation).
  • You will have hands‑on experience with integrations, APIs and enterprise systems

GRC Product Team\:

The Senior Product Engineer will serve as the technical authority and SME for the Archer platform within Shared Services Enterprise IT (EIT) at BAE Systems. This role provides end to end leadership across solution design, delivery and technical governance, ensuring the platform remains robust, scalable and aligned to business and security requirements.
