Senior Product Manager (Canvas Career)
At Instructure, we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed throughout their lives. Our goal is to amplify that power by creating intuitive products that simplify learning and personal development, facilitate meaningful relationships, and inspire people to go further in their education and careers.
We do this by giving smart, creative, passionate people opportunities to create awesome. And that's where you come in:
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to join the Canvas Career team—a fast-moving group on a mission to redefine how people learn, grow, and connect to opportunity. We’re building an AI-first platform for continuing education, workforce learning, and career pathways. As a Senior Product Manager on the Canvas Career team, you’ll shape how lifelong learners build skills and learning organizations deliver programs at scale.
This is a role for someone who thrives on collaboration, sweats the details of success measures, and obsesses over customers and users. If you’re driven to deliver outcomes, not just outputs, and if innovation excites you as much as execution – we’d love to hear from you!
What you will be doing:
Form a clear point of view on what your product area needs to achieve this quarter and this year with a well reasoned case for why and how to get there in order to inform strategy
Carry accountability for product outcomes – from what we’re building and why it's the right investment, to what we’ve released and how its performing
Build and measure iteratively, shipping in increments and using success metric results to determine what's next
Use customer insights and market intelligence to build a point of view on where your market is going, create a coherent picture of what's needed, and pressure test your roadmap
Collaborate relentlessly with other product managers, design, engineering and go-to-market teams to release new value with speed.
Operate independently by running your product area without regular guidance from leadership and resolving blockers before they become escalations
Leverage AI-powered workflows to drive efficiency, reducing time-to-validation while delivering innovative solutions.
Raise the bar around you by modeling good product thinking, helping newer PMs sharpen the skills, and providing feedback to cross-functional partners when the work isn’t at the right level
What you will need to know/have:
5+ years in a product role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
Experience owning product outcomes.
Excellent judgment, you know when to move fast and when to slow down.
Comfort with product analytics tools (Pendo, Amplitude, or similar).
Strong written communication. You can explain a complex tradeoff in a paragraph.
A bias toward action. You move before you have perfect information.
Comfort with ambiguity.
An innovative spirit.
Onsite Collaboration Requirement: This role requires working onsite on Tuesday and Wednesday, with Thursday strongly encouraged as part of our company’s in-person collaboration model.
Get in on all the awesome at Instructure!
