Senior Product Manager, DevOps
The Product & Technology team at ViX is seeking a Senior Product Manager – DevOps to drive the strategy, development, and evolution of the infrastructure platforms that power our global digital streaming ecosystem.
This role serves as the critical bridge between Product Management, Engineering, and DevOps/Platform Engineering teams, ensuring that infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and cloud architecture are treated as products that enable innovation, reliability, and scale.
The Senior Product Manager – DevOps will be responsible for defining and executing the roadmap for internal developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, and deployment tooling that support millions of users across ViX's streaming products. This individual will partner closely with Engineering, Platform Operations, Security, and Product teams to ensure the platform remains highly scalable, secure, cost-efficient, and capable of delivering exceptional user experiences during high-traffic events.
The ideal candidate combines strong product management expertise with deep technical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, platform engineering, and large-scale distributed systems.

Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
- Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for internal DevOps platforms, cloud infrastructure, deployment tooling, and developer enablement capabilities.
- Translate complex infrastructure requirements, including scalability, reliability, multi-region deployment, and platform modernization initiatives into clear product requirements and user stories.
- Own and prioritize the platform backlog, balancing technical debt reduction, security initiatives, infrastructure investments, and feature-enablement capabilities.
- Align platform investments with business priorities, engineering needs, and upcoming product launches.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between Product Management, Engineering, Platform Engineering, Security, and DevOps teams.
- Partner with feature product managers and engineering leaders to ensure infrastructure capabilities support product delivery objectives.
- Advocate for developer experience (DevEx) by enabling self-service tools, automation, and deployment capabilities that improve engineering productivity and velocity.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment, transparency, and successful execution.
Technical Platform Management
- Oversee the productization and adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, including Pulumi-based provisioning and deployment frameworks.
- Define scalability, reliability, and operational standards for Kubernetes (GKE) clusters and serverless computing architectures.
- Partner with database and backend engineering teams to optimize MongoDB performance, scalability, sharding strategies, and high-availability architectures within Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Drive strategy and oversight for CDN optimization, content delivery performance, caching strategies, and edge security capabilities.
- Support initiatives focused on platform resilience, observability, automation, security, and operational excellence.
Metrics, Reliability & Optimization
- Establish and monitor key platform performance indicators and operational metrics.
- Track and optimize DORA metrics, including Deployment Frequency, Lead Time for Changes, Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR), and Change Failure Rate.
- Monitor cloud spend and champion FinOps best practices to ensure infrastructure scales efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Leverage operational data and platform insights to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased reliability.
- Promote DevOps principles and continuous improvement practices to accelerate delivery, reduce operational risk, and improve platform performance.
Leadership & Team Support
- Support the development of high-performing, cross-functional teams focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Help remove obstacles and enable teams to successfully deliver on commitments.
- Foster a culture of innovation, operational excellence, and customer-centric decisionmaking.
- Contribute to strategic planning and long-term platform evolution initiatives.
Qualifications - Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of Product Management experience, preferably supporting platform, infrastructure, DevOps, cloud, or developer-focused products.
- Experience managing large-scale technology initiatives and enterprise-level platform projects.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, software development lifecycles, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience working within Agile, Lean, DevOps, and Platform Engineering environments.
- Hands-on familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, serverless architectures, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code concepts.
- Experience working with highly scalable distributed systems supporting large user bases.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and operate effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Experience influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting large-scale digital media, streaming, or content delivery platforms.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes (GKE), Pulumi, MongoDB, CDN technologies, and cloud security best practices.
- Experience with platform engineering, developer experience (DevEx), and self-service infrastructure initiatives.
- Experience implementing and measuring DORA metrics and DevOps performance frameworks.
- Knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost optimization strategies.
- Experience supporting live-event streaming platforms with high concurrency requirements.
- Professional fluency in English and Spanish.
- Knowledge of TelevisaUnivision products and services is a plus.
