GE Vernova is now looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead complex GridOS and energy system integration projects.

Working from your base in Oslo, Norway or another European location , you will act as the primary partner for our clients, navigating sophisticated OT and IT environments to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within scope. Key tasks and responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead the execution of complex GridOS and energy system integration projects from planning through delivery and completion.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end execution of assigned customer projects.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and customer expectations.
  • Act as a key project interface towards customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate project delivery across engineering, software, procurement, services, commercial and other relevant functions.
  • Establish and maintain clear project governance, reporting and decision-making structures.
  • Monitor project performance and drive corrective actions where needed.
  • Identify risks early and ensure active risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage contractual and commercial interfaces, including scope changes and variation orders.
  • Support margin protection and improvement through disciplined project control.
  • Support the tendering process and ensure realistic project execution input where relevant.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable GE Vernova processes, project governance requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement across the project organisation.

What we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced project manager who can lead complex technical projects with structure, commercial discipline and strong customer focus.

We hope you will bring:

  • Proven experience in managing complex industrial, technical, software, infrastructure or energy-related projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, risk management, budget control and project governance.
  • Experience with customer-facing project delivery.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional and international teams.
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scope control, change management and contractual interfaces.
  • Experience using established project management tools and methodologies.
  • Relevant education within engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills in English. Proficiency in the Norwegian language, which will help you build stronger local connections.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, expected to be approximately 25%.

Experience from energy, utilities, grid companies, industrial automation, software delivery, system integration, OT/IT environments or critical infrastructure is highly relevant.

Norwegian language skills are an advantage, particularly for local customer dialogue, but the role operates in an international environment.

Project management certification such as PMP, Prince2 or equivalent is also an advantage, but strong relevant experience is the most important factor.
