About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to support the successful delivery of a Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Power Plant project. The successful candidate will report directly to the Project Director and be responsible for managing project execution activities, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, monitoring project progress, and ensuring project objectives are achieved safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality requirements.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale energy infrastructure project while working closely with multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Support the Project Director in the overall execution and delivery of Waste-to-Energy power plant projects.

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.

  • Coordinate project activities to ensure alignment with contractual obligations, project requirements, and client expectations.

  • Monitor project progress and identify risks, delays, and mitigation actions.

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed according to agreed schedules and quality standards.

Project Coordination

  • Coordinate activities among engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operation teams.

  • Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders and ensure timely resolution of technical and commercial issues.

  • Organize and participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings.

  • Maintain clear communication channels with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors.

Vendor & Contractor Management

  • Coordinate with equipment suppliers, vendors, subcontractors, and service providers throughout project execution.

  • Monitor vendor deliverables, manufacturing schedules, inspections, and equipment delivery milestones.

  • Support the review and tracking of vendor documentation and technical submissions.

  • Work closely with contractors to ensure safe and efficient site execution.

Project Controls & Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project progress reports.

  • Monitor project schedules, key performance indicators, risks, and mitigation plans.

  • Support budget tracking and cost control activities.

  • Escalate critical project issues to the Project Director and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

  • Maintain project documentation, registers, and records.

Construction & Site Activities

  • Support construction planning and execution activities.

  • Coordinate site teams and ensure activities are executed in accordance with project requirements.

  • Monitor safety, quality, and environmental compliance during project execution.

  • Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for project stakeholders.

  • Attend client meetings and provide project updates.

  • Ensure client requirements and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

  • Maintain positive working relationships with all project stakeholders.

Risk & Quality Management

  • Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.

  • Ensure compliance with project quality standards and procedures.

  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote safe working practices and adherence to HSE requirements.

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years of project management experience within power generation, energy, industrial, EPC, or infrastructure projects.

  • Experience delivering Waste-to-Energy, Power Plant, Energy-from-Waste, Thermal Power, Industrial Utility, or large-scale process plant projects is advantageous.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams.

  • Experience coordinating vendors, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.

Technical Knowledge

  • Understanding of power generation systems, boilers, steam systems, turbines, balance of plant, utilities, and industrial processes.

  • Familiarity with EPC project execution and project lifecycle management.

  • Knowledge of construction, commissioning, and project handover activities.

  • Understanding of project planning and scheduling principles.

Contract Information
