Role Description
- Candidate will perform a Senior QA Engineer role to support Avaloq core banking application regarding Requirement analysis, User story definition, UAT Test management and functional testing activities of Deutsche Bank EMEA and APAC regions within the PB – Private Banking department.
- Candidates need to operate at Squad level and provide an oversight of quality of Squad deliverables. They will analyze and test new features with an end-to-end business view to determine that the business outcome is fit for purpose.
- The Senior QA Engineer should analyze complex business flows and functions and help to implement Test automation scripts wherever possible to achieve regression testing. Your key responsibilities
- Analyze requirements specification, plan & design solutions, support project estimates and provide planning input regarding solution engineering and development.
- Collect business and techno-functional requirements in collaboration with the business area as well as with interfacing applications and document these
- Review and validate business requirements on Core banking platform as well as any impact to upstream or downstream systems within short timelines
- Supports the design and conceptualization of new business solution options and articulates identified impacts and risks.
- Identify potential impacts of new change on existing process through analysis and highlight any associated risks/issues.
- Liaising with multiple vendors involving multiple interfacing systems of the Core Banking System
- Defines testing requirements including test plans, test cases, test-data and review of interface testing between different applications. Execute test cases and resolve functional issues arising from user acceptance testing.
- Support and co-ordinate UAT, defining (and executing) testing requirements together with the QA & Testing Team as well as the business area
- Ensure adherence to application and technology related architectural standards and development policies
- Perform data analysis to support tasks as required
- Providing hands-on, functional post go-live support to users
- Identify risks/issues and escalate to Program Management accordingly.
Your skills and experience
- Fluent in English (written/verbal)
- 10+ minimum years of experience in Functional testing and Requirement analysis of Core banking Business flows.
- Experience working with business requirements through to system level functional specifications, requirement gathering, user story definition, backlog grooming, and UAT ownership (Must have)
- Experience in financial domain - Wealth Management (Must have) with experience working on regulatory space.
- Domain Expertise in core business processes and products in the Wealth Management portfolio.
- Good knowledge in at least 4 to 5 business domains - Portfolio Management, Equity, Fixed Income, Funds, FX, MM, Alternative Investments, Derivatives, and Structured Products.
- Good to have experience in Wealth Core banking systems.
- Knowledge of various test levels and test types: white/black box, system, performance, integration, regression testing.
- High analytical capabilities.
- Familiar with ALM test management tool.
- Familiar with Agile Team management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Excellent communications skills: ability to translate complex business processes and technical designs and concerns into easy-to-understand language.
- Experience with distributed/multi-locations teams.
- Comfortable working in multi-disciplinary, self-organized teams with functional stakeholders of various levels.
- Able to control multiple assignments and to manage priorities.
