We are looking for a Senior QC Automation Engineer to join one of our German client teams working on a strategic platform at the center of an upcoming connector rollout. In this role, you will own end-to-end quality assurance for connector validation, regression coverage, and release readiness, working closely with Engineering and Product to maintain a stable quality bar as the team increases its release pace. You will work directly with an international team, embedded as a core member rather than an external tester.

What You Will Do

  • Validate connectors before release, ensuring integration correctness and functional stability.
  • Plan and drive test strategy across regression, functional, and integration testing cycles.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated tests using Playwright or similar frameworks.
  • Execute and continuously extend the regression test suite to support increasing release frequency.
  • Support bug reproduction and verification - documenting issues clearly and working with developers to confirm fixes.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, Product, and QA stakeholders to align on release readiness criteria.
  • Perform API testing and validate integrations between services and connectors.
  • Promote a shift-left testing mindset to catch and resolve issues earlier in the development cycle.
  • Contribute to improving internal testing frameworks, tools, and documentation standards.

What You Will Bring

  • At least 5 years of experience in software testing, with a minimum of 3 years focused on automated testing.
  • Proficiency in Playwright or a comparable end-to-end testing framework.
  • Solid understanding of API testing and experience validating web services and integrations.
  • Comfortable working with technical products and complex, multi-step workflows.
  • Able to reproduce, document, and verify bugs clearly and independently.
  • Proven ability to plan and execute test strategy in a distributed, remote team environment.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken, for daily collaboration with an international team.
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms or large-scale software systems.
  • Nice-to-Have:

    • Experience with SaaS platforms, integration connectors, workflow automation, or event-based systems.
    • Familiarity with eCommerce or platform ecosystems with complex integration layers.
    • Knowledge of agile development practices in distributed team environments.
    • Exposure to continuous delivery pipelines and release automation.
