What's the job?
Responsibilities:
- Strong understanding of requirements analysis, including identifying acceptance criteria, clarifying ambiguities, and ensuring testability.
- Solid knowledge of the defect lifecycle, including defect reporting, triage, prioritisation, and closure.
- Hands-on experience with test case creation, execution, optimisation, and maintenance throughout the test lifecycle.
- Ability to perform effective root cause analysis and collaborate with engineering teams to prevent defect recurrence.
- Experience in test estimation using various techniques (e.g., WBS, historical data, complexity-based estimation).
Programming & Databases
- Practical experience with Java for test automation.
- Working knowledge of Python for scripting, utilities, or data processing.
- Understanding of PostgreSQL basics, including writing simple queries for validation and test data preparation.
