Senior Quantity Surveyor
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the construction team to prepare accurate Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Open Tender documents
- Identify and engage potential tenderers and subcontractors by sending RFQ invitations to ensure competitive bidding
- Manage and resolve queries and clarifications between tenderers and the construction team during the RFQ stage to facilitate smooth communication
- Organize and coordinate post-tender interviews involving tenderers, construction, quantity surveying, and contracts teams to support decision-making
- Assist the Quantity Surveying (QS) and Contracts Managers in handling quantity surveying tasks related to Sub-Contracts, Works Orders, and Purchase Orders for accurate contract management
- Support the contracts team in administering subcontracts to maintain compliance and documentation accuracy
- Process and verify payment requests from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Perform any other ad hoc tasks assigned by the QS Manager or Contracts Manager to support project needs
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Purchasing/Procurement, Business, or Engineering
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Contract/Construction Law
- Experience in quantity surveying and subcontract administration for construction projects, preferably with 5 years of experience
- Experience with large-scale process-related construction projects is advantageous
