Senior Research Director

This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of technology, workplace transformation, and global market intelligence. The Senior Research Director will lead a flagship “Future of Work” research agenda, shaping how organizations understand evolving work models, digital workplaces, and emerging enterprise technologies. The role combines strategic research leadership with hands-on analytical work, including primary research, executive advisory, and thought leadership development. You will engage directly with senior clients, influencing strategic decisions across industries and technology vendors. Working within a global analyst network, you will contribute to both revenue growth and brand authority for a highly respected research organization. This position offers significant visibility, intellectual ownership, and the opportunity to shape global conversations about the future of work.
Accountabilities:
- Lead and manage the global Future of Work research agenda, defining priorities and ensuring high-quality output across reports, advisory content, and insights.
- Conduct primary and secondary research, including survey design, qualitative interviews, and advanced market and data analysis.
- Produce high-impact written research, presentations, and thought leadership content for senior business and technology audiences.
- Deliver client-facing presentations at industry events, executive briefings, and advisory sessions.
- Support business development and sales initiatives by acting as a trusted advisor to both technology suppliers and enterprise buyers.
- Contribute to marketing and visibility efforts to strengthen the positioning of the research practice globally.
- Collaborate with a distributed team of analysts across regions to ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment.
- 10+ years of experience in research, consulting, or technology-focused roles with strong exposure to workplace transformation and digital innovation.
- Deep understanding of technology domains shaping the Future of Work, including Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, intelligent workspaces, security, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong expertise in market research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, survey design, and data interpretation.
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to translate complex insights into clear, actionable executive-level content.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders in client and industry settings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel; familiarity with analytical tools used in social science or market research is preferred.
- Ability to operate effectively in a global, cross-cultural environment with strong collaboration and project management skills.
- Exposure to emerging AI-driven tools and willingness to integrate new technologies into research workflows.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree considered a strong advantage.
- Ability to travel up to 25% as required.
- Annual compensation range: $130,000 – $200,000 (base + variable pay, depending on experience and location)
