  • Support projects from early design phases through permit and construction documentation, ensuring consistency and buildability throughout.
  • 3 to 6 years of architectural design experience with strong exposure to project development and documentation, ideally in residential projects.
  • Advanced in Revit as your primary production tool, with strong multidisciplinary understanding across Architecture, Structure, and MEP.
  • Fluent English with strong command of architectural and construction terminology, able to follow fast-paced technical and client-facing discussions in real time.
  • Solid understanding of US residential construction methods, particularly wood-framed construction, and able to identify design conflicts and propose practical solutions proactively.
  • Takes ownership of design quality and accuracy, works efficiently in fast-paced environments, and responds quickly to tasks, revisions, and communication.
  • Proactive and team-oriented, comfortable working through ambiguity and evolving project requirements in a growth-stage operation.

Here is what to expect after you apply:

  1. You will get an email from Puente with a short online assessment and a quick grammar check.
  2. You will record three short video answers so we can see how you communicate.
  3. If it looks like a fit, our recruiter sets up an interview.
  4. Shortlisted candidates are introduced to the US client team for final interviews.

This is a full-time independent contractor role paying $2,000 to $3,000 USD per month, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM PT (Pacific time). The role is fully remote and works in real time with the US team, including daily stand-ups and design sessions, so reliable overlap with Pacific hours is required.
