VicRoads is progressing too. In August 2022, we started on a new chapter when the Victorian State Government partnered with Aware Super, Australian Retirement Trust, and Macquarie Asset Management to operate registration and licensing services on its behalf.
We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.
Annual salary range: Commensurate with experience

About the opportunity
This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the commercial growth of VicRoads’ emerging data products and services portfolio. As Senior Sales Manager – Data Products, you will drive enterprise revenue by shaping and executing strategic sales initiatives across key industries, including finance and insurance, telecommunications, utilities, and infrastructure.
Operating across the full sales lifecycle, the role will focus on building a robust pipeline, developing commercially viable propositions, and securing complex, multi‑stakeholder deals. You will work closely with internal teams across Product, Data, Legal, Finance and Technology to align customer needs with scalable, compliant data solutions.
VicRoads’ data commercialisation capability is in a high‑potential growth phase, underpinned by uniquely rich datasets and a strong ambition to expand into advanced analytics and insight-driven offerings. This role offers the opportunity to influence market direction, inform product evolution, and contribute to building a sustainable, enterprise-grade sales capability.
About you
You’re a high-performing enterprise sales professional who thrives in complex, data-driven environments, particularly within financial services and insurance. You have a proven track record selling data products, analytics platforms, APIs and insight solutions into Tier 1 organisations, navigating sophisticated stakeholders and regulatory landscapes.
Combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, you own the full sales lifecycle end-to-end — from prospecting through to negotiation and contract execution. You confidently engage both senior decision-makers and technical audiences, translating complex data concepts into clear commercial value.
Relationship-driven and resilient, you build trust and progress high-value opportunities across long, complex sales cycles. You also contribute beyond the deal, sharing market insights and supporting the evolution of products in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
You will bring:
Proven enterprise sales success in data, analytics or API‑driven solutions
Experience engaging Tier‑1 banks and insurers in regulated environments
Advanced technical credibility across data, APIs and analytics platforms
Ability to translate complex data concepts into commercial outcomes
End‑to‑end ownership of complex B2B sales lifecycle
Strong pipeline management, forecasting and deal execution
Exceptional stakeholder engagement across executive and technical audiences
