Building and Developing the Team

    Driving Sales and Strategy

    • Seek out and lock in new accounts throughout the wholesale, retail, and foodservice markets

    • Monitor the metrics that matter most, among them sales volume, profit margins, and customer satisfaction

    • Head up the sales team as it brings business development strategies to life within the fresh produce sector

    • Shape and put into motion strategic sales plans that meet revenue goals and tap the territory for all it is worth

    • Read the way the market is changing and what buyers are after to set competitive pricing strategies

      Reporting and Regulatory Duties

      • Join forces with procurement to keep stock available and deliveries running on time

      • Put together regular sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for senior leadership

      • Stay on top of food safety and handling regulations

        Operations and Customer Care

        • Handle contracts, negotiations, and credit terms with the company's most important clients

          Requirements<\/h3>

          Required Qualifications
          <\/p>

          • A number of years spent working with temperature\-controlled logistics or distribution
            <\/li>
          • A clear track record of designing strategic sales plans and reaching revenue targets
            <\/li>
          • A bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain, or a related field
            <\/li>
          • First\-rate communication, negotiation, and customer service skills
            <\/li>
          • 5+ years of sales experience in the produce or perishable goods industry
            <\/li>
          • A strong working knowledge of the produce supply chain, from grower all the way to end customer
            <\/li>
          • 2+ years spent in a management or supervisory role
            <\/li>
          • At ease using CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite
            <\/li>
          • A deep understanding of perishable logistics, cold chain management, and what customers expect across wholesale, retail, and foodservice channels
            <\/li>
          • Strong ability to lead and mentor a team
            <\/li>
          • Prepared to travel when needed for customer visits and industry events, both at home and occasionally abroad

          • A valid driver's licence
