Senior Sales Manager Rooms / MICE

Senior Sales Manager (Rooms) is accountable for driving room revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives, establishing strong client relationships, and maximizing occupancy across corporate, government, travel trade, and MICE segments. This role is critical to achieving hotel revenue targets and strengthening the market position of Pullman Jakarta.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Establish and implement sales strategies to achieve room revenue, occupancy, and market share objectives.
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities within assigned market segments.
  • Sustain and expand relationships with corporate accounts, government institutions, travel agencies, and key business partners.
  • Execute systematic sales calls, presentations, networking activities, and client visits.
  • Negotiate and close room contracts, preferred agreements, and corporate rate partnerships.

Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts and ensure consistently high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor account performance and identify revenue growth opportunities.
  • Conduct business reviews and maintain accurate account records within the CRM system.
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships that generate repeat business and customer loyalty.

Revenue Optimization

  • Coordinate directly with Revenue Management to maximize room revenue and occupancy.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies.
  • Recommend tactical sales actions to capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment with forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning processes.

Market Intelligence

  • Analyze market conditions, demand patterns, and competitor performance.
  • Identify emerging business opportunities and industry trends.
  • Provide regular sales reports and market insights to hotel leadership.

Team Collaboration

  • Interface with Reservations, Revenue Management, Marketing, Front Office, and Operations teams.
  • Support the Assistant Director of Sales in implementing commercial strategies.
  • Provide direction and oversight to Sales Managers and Sales Executives as required.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in wedding or event sales within luxury hotels or wedding/event planning companies.

Strong network and relationships within the wedding industry, including vendors, planners, and associations.

Proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects.

Creative mindset with ability to develop unique wedding concepts tailored to client needs.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel sales systems (Opera)
