Senior Salesforce Engineer

As a Senior Salesforce Engineer, you will design and implement customized Salesforce solutions within Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, focusing on scalable architecture and reliable integrations. You will lead projects through the Salesforce development lifecycle, write clean, testable code using Apex and Lightning Components, and collaborate with partners to translate CRM needs into technical solutions. You will optimize platform performance, security, and data integrity by identifying bottlenecks and implementing best practices. You will build event driven integrations using Platform Events, Change Data Capture, and Pub/Sub APIs, and contribute to developer experience with sandbox automation and deployment scripts. You will own CI/CD pipelines, promote code quality through automated testing, and stay current with AI assisted development workflows. You will participate in designing feature flag strategies, and support QA and production monitoring with observability tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Salesforce applications within Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Lead projects through the Salesforce development lifecycle
  • Improve platform performance, security, scalability, and reliability by identifying bottlenecks and data issues
  • Develop integrations using Platform Events Change Data Capture and Pub/Sub API
  • Deliver test automation improvements including mocking and selective test execution
  • Own CI/CD pipelines including build, test, and deployment automation
  • Collaborate with partners, engineers, and analysts to determine CRM needs and best practices
  • Leverage AI assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and code quality
  • Implement feature flag strategies for safe deployments
  • Maintain and extend automation for sandbox environments and deployments

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Salesforce development experience across enterprise scale solutions leveraging Sales Cloud and Service Cloud
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Buildkite, GitHub Actions or similar) for Salesforce deployments
  • Familiarity with AI assisted development workflows and prompt engineering for code generation
  • Experience with trunk based development feature branching and delta deployment strategies
  • Knowledge of event driven architecture patterns Platform Events CDC Pub/Sub API
  • Experience with test optimization including mocking frameworks, selective test execution and parallel testing
  • Extensive development experience using Apex Triggers Visualforce Lightning Components Web Services and Salesforce API (REST/SOAP/Metadata)
  • Hands on experience with Salesforce Administration including configuration standard data model security and automations such as validation rules workflows process flows
  • Experience and knowledge of relational databases data modeling and ETL tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
