About this Role:

Consertus is seeking Senior Schedulers to support the local transit agency with scheduling services for a major capital program, including a scope anticipated to include heavy civil construction and bus/highway interface work. These roles will develop, maintain, and analyze detailed, logic-driven CPM schedules to support planning, progress tracking, and schedule performance reporting. The ideal candidates have strong Primavera P6 capability and demonstrated experience supporting bus, highway, and heavy civil construction projects (preferably in a public agency/transit environment and/or alternative delivery).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain integrated, logic-driven CPM schedules in Primavera P6 for heavy civil infrastructure work.
  • Build schedules from scratch by coordinating with engineering, project management, construction teams, and contractors.
  • Cost-load and resource-load schedules as required; develop time-phased forecasts and cash flow curves (as applicable).
  • Establish schedule baselines; perform schedule updates and variance analysis against baseline and key milestones.
  • Perform Time Impact Analyses (TIA) and support evaluation of schedule changes, delays, and recovery plans.
  • Review and analyze contractor-submitted schedules; provide comments, identify issues, and coordinate corrections.
  • Track critical path, near-critical activities, constraints, and key interfaces across disciplines (civil/utilities/roadwork/paving).
  • Prepare schedule narratives, dashboards, and briefings for project leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Support schedule-related documentation for claims avoidance, change management, and reporting.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of project scheduling experience supporting heavy civil or highway construction projects.
  • Demonstrated experience scheduling large-scale, complex infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (v12.0 or higher) with cost and resource loading.
  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods in heavy civil/highway projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of accuracy, reliability, and completeness in prior roles.

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BRT / transit project scheduling experience.
  • Experience supporting CMGC delivery (or similar alternative delivery methods).
  • Experience with cost/resource-loaded schedules and earned value / progress measurement approaches.
  • Familiarity with project controls environments and working with multi-party teams (agency + CM/GC + designer).

Working Hours & Location:

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid; expected to be in-office 4 days per week and 1 day remote
  • Schedule: Full-time, exempt role with standard business hours

Compensation Range: $176,800 – $208,000 annually; Eligible for Bonus.
