Senior Security Officer

The Senior Security Officer at Access Bank PLC plays a crucial role in safeguarding the bank's information systems by implementing robust security measures and monitoring activities to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze security incidents to detect and respond to threats promptly.
  • Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions.
  • Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure security controls are integrated within systems and processes.
  • Support incident response efforts, including investigation and mitigation of security breaches.
  • Maintain and update security documentation and reports.
  • Provide training and awareness sessions to employees on security best practices.
  • Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audits.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in (Facilities, Security Management, Law, Risk, IT, Engineering, Criminology, Military Science) or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in information security or related fields.
  • 2 years in leadership/Supervisory
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ a, CPP, CISM, CFE, ISO 22301 / BCM, PSP, APP/AML certifications are preferred.
  • Solid understanding of information security frameworks and standards.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in incident response and vulnerability management.
