For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead technical work focused on cloud-enabled scalability, reliability, and delivery excellence. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $160,000 – $185,000 annually

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and build scalable platform components using Node.js and React
  • Maintain and build distributed systems and core microservices for platform growth
  • Lead architecture reviews to maintain high reliability and performance standards
  • Drive adoption of modern infrastructure practices like CI/CD and containerization
  • Deliver projects end-to-end, translating business needs into technical solutions
  • Identify opportunities to enhance developer workflows and system resiliency
  • Engage in production support responsibilities

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on backend systems and platform services
  • Expertise in Node.js and modern patterns like TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Solid experience with designing and scaling distributed systems
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and production deployments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and containerization (Docker, Terraform)
  • Strong grasp of computer science fundamentals including algorithms and systems design
  • Excellent communicator, capable of collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Passion for mentoring and team growth
