Senior Software Engineer Platform Backend Focused

You will architect, build, and maintain robust integrations between the platform and external third-party systems. You will design and implement well-structured APIs and services that enable data exchange across platforms, with best practices in versioning, authentication, and error handling. You will build and operate services on AWS with CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code. You will implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for integrations, investigate incidents, and harden systems. You will leverage AI tools to aid coding, testing, and documentation and promote practical AI adoption across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain integrations between the platform and external third-party systems.
  • Design and implement well-structured APIs and services with versioning authentication and error handling.
  • Build and operate services on AWS with CI/CD practices and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; investigate incidents and harden systems.
  • Use AI tools to assist coding, debugging, test creation, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in backend or platform engineering with focus on integrations and API-driven solutions.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with experience building APIs and event-driven/serverless systems.
  • Strong AWS experience and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with AI coding tools (Cursor GitHub Copilot Claude Code Codex) and familiarity with integrating LLM APIs.
  • Relational databases experience (AWS Aurora PostgreSQL MySQL) including ORM frameworks such as TypeORM.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex integration flows.
  • Experience in fintech payments crypto or financial services integrations is a plus.
