Senior Software Engineer

You will design, develop, and operate scalable infrastructure and internal platforms to support core product functionality. You will own components end to end from requirements to production, drive cross functional collaboration, and implement durable solutions for reliability and performance. You will mentor engineers, review designs, and produce documentation to guide operations and evolution of systems. You will ensure security and compliance in production and contribute to on call incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate scalable infrastructure systems that support core product functionality and internal services
• Lead the design, development, and evolution of internal platforms and tooling
• Own infrastructure components end to end including requirements definition architectural design implementation deployment production support and continuous improvement
• Drive cross functional collaboration across engineering teams to support complex business critical workloads platform capabilities and large scale system integrations
• Identify systemic reliability performance and scalability challenges and implement durable solutions through automation observability and engineering best practices
• Provide technical leadership during on call rotations major incident response root cause analysis and remediation
• Define monitoring capacity planning and scaling strategies for production systems and infrastructure
• Ensure infrastructure systems meet and advance security compliance and operational standards in production environments
• Mentor and guide engineers influence technical direction and review designs to improve infrastructure quality and maintainability
• Author and maintain high quality technical documentation design proposals and operational guidance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressively responsible post- baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation
• Education and/or experience must include: GoLang, Python, or Scala; Kubernetes and Docker; EC2, S3, IAM, and VPC; Terraform and CloudFormation; Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog; Buildkite, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions; PostgreSQL, Redis, and DynamoDB; and Kafka or Kinesis
