About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Test Engineer (STE) with strong expertise in Python, AWS, and Playwright to join our Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks for cloud-native applications.

Candidates should have exposure to modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor (minimum 6 months of practical experience). Experience or understanding of AI/ML-based applications and testing methodologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Python and Playwright.
  • Create and execute automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end test cases.
  • Validate applications deployed on AWS cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps teams to define quality strategies and acceptance criteria.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and support release validation activities.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and provide detailed root cause analysis.
  • Ensure test coverage across web applications, APIs, and cloud-based services.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants such as Cursor and GitHub Copilot to improve engineering productivity and test development efficiency.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, risk assessment, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to performance, security, and reliability testing efforts where applicable.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong programming experience in Python.
  • Hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
  • Good understanding of software testing methodologies and SDLC/STLC.
  • Experience testing applications hosted on AWS services.
  • Expertise in API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Experience with Git, version control, and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of test reporting, defect tracking, and automation best practices.
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

AI-Assisted Development

  • Minimum 6 months of hands-on experience with Cursor and/or GitHub Copilot.
  • Ability to leverage AI-powered coding tools for test automation development, code reviews, and productivity improvements.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with AI/ML applications or testing machine learning models.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, LLM-based applications, or AI-powered products.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native architectures.
  • Performance testing experience using JMeter, Locust, or similar tools.
  • Experience with security testing and cloud compliance practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
