As an Senior Solutions Architect, you will serve as the primary technical trusted advisor for a portfolio of strategic accounts, owning the end-to-end technical relationship and driving cloud adoption at scale. You will define and execute technical strategies aligned to customer business outcomes, influence long-term architectural decisions, and lead cross-functional teams to deliver transformative solutions. You will develop deep expertise in AWS technologies while maintaining broad architectural fluency across application modernization, data & analytics, AI/ML, and infrastructure domains.
Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and relationship for assigned strategic accounts, acting as the customer's primary technical trusted advisor.
- Define and drive the cloud adoption roadmap aligned to customer business objectives, working backward from desired outcomes.
- Lead architectural design sessions, Well-Architected reviews, and technical deep-dives with customer engineering and leadership teams.
- Influence C-level and VP-level stakeholders on technology strategy, modernization approaches, and AI/cloud transformation initiatives.
- Orchestrate AWS specialist resources (AI/ML, Security, Data, Migration) to deliver comprehensive solutions across complex enterprise environments.
- Proactively identify and qualify new workload opportunities, partnering with Account Managers to build and execute account plans.
- Mentor and develop junior Solutions Architects; raise the technical bar across the SA community through knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Capture reusable patterns, reference architectures, and contribute to the SA community through internal and external thought leadership.
- Represent AWS at customer executive briefings, industry events, and technical forums.
- Understand and navigate enterprise procurement, compliance, and governance requirements to accelerate adoption
