Senior Solutions Architect, Solutions Architecture

Are you passionate about helping retail and e-commerce customers solve complex business and technical challenges using cloud technologies? Do you enjoy architecting AI-powered solutions that transform customer experiences, optimize supply chains, and drive digital commerce innovation? Do you thrive on being a trusted technical advisor who partners with customers from strategy through production?

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. We work with leading retail, e-commerce, and consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies that are building mission-critical, customer-facing applications on AWS — and we believe that exceptional technical guidance is critical to their success.

As a Solutions Architect within Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will have the opportunity to help shape and execute a strategy to build deep engagement and broad adoption of AWS services across retail and e-commerce customers. You will focus on key industry themes including **Generative AI and Agentic AI** (Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Kiro), **unified commerce**, **real-time personalization**, **retail media networks (RMN)**, **supply chain optimization**, **data and analytics modernization**, and **application modernization** — helping customers leverage the full breadth of the AWS platform to accelerate their business transformation.

You will own the technical engagement and ultimate success of specific customer initiatives — from discovery and architecture design through proof-of-concept, implementation, and production launch. You will develop deep expertise in AWS technologies while building broad industry knowledge of how modern retail and e-commerce solutions are architected on AWS, including Well-Architected best practices, migration, and modernization patterns.

A successful candidate will possess strong customer-facing skills to represent AWS effectively with senior business and technical stakeholders, combined with a technical depth that enables meaningful collaboration with software developers, data engineers, and architects. Experience with AI/ML or generative AI use cases, familiarity with retail industry trends — including **brick-and-mortar retail operations, omnichannel distribution, and retail media** — and the ability to architect end-to-end solutions spanning data, AI, and modern application architectures are highly valued.

Key job responsibilities
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to retail and e-commerce customers, designing cloud architectures that address industry-specific challenges including unified commerce, retail media networks, supply chain optimization, and AI-powered personalization.

- Lead technical discovery and solution design workshops with customer stakeholders (from developers to C-suite), defining clear objectives, success criteria, and architectural roadmaps.

- Drive hands-on proof-of-concept builds and architecture reviews, leveraging AWS services across Generative AI (Bedrock, Kiro), data & analytics, and application modernization to accelerate customer outcomes.

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Account Managers, Specialist SAs, ProServe, and AWS Partners to deliver end-to-end solutions and ensure successful production launches.

- Develop and share reusable assets, reference architectures, and
industry best practices with the broader SA community and retail
customer base — contributing to thought leadership through blogs,
workshops, and customer events.

- Stay current on retail industry trends and emerging AWS capabilities,
translating them into actionable recommendations for customers.

A day in the life
No two days are the same. You might lead a whiteboard architecture session with a retailer building their retail media network, run a Well-Architected review ahead of a peak sales event, or build a generative AI proof-of-concept for personalized recommendations. Other days, you'll join executive briefings with C-level stakeholders, collaborate with Account Managers and Specialist SAs on competitive deals, or deep-dive into a customer's supply chain architecture. You will work closely with Taiwan's most innovative retail, e-commerce, and CPG brands — helping them stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
