Senior Specialist, Ground (Product Owner)

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic Product Owner to lead the development and enhancement of Scoot’s self-service check-in channels and other day-of-travel applications. In this role, you will transform complex operational challenges into simple, scalable digital solutions that support efficient ground operations.

You will play a key role in elevating the customer experience across passenger-facing platforms by introducing innovative features aligned with evolving industry trends. As the product owner, you will define and manage the product roadmap, driving initiatives end-to-end—from concept and development through to deployment and rollout—while collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders.

Job Description

Product Owner / Management

  • Act as the Product Owner for Scoot’s self service check-in platforms and/or day-of-travel applications, ensuring consistent product vision, roadmap alignment, and delivery quality.
  • Ensure accurate capture of business requirements and advocate for operational needs throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Define and track key product performance metrics to measure effectiveness of digital check-in channels.
  • Ensure product roadmap, feature prioritization, and delivery outcomes are aligned with organizational Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
  • Establish dashboards and reporting mechanisms to provide visibility on product performance, customer experience, and operational impact.
  • Drive continuous improvement by using data insights to identify gaps, optimize features, and enhance overall product performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners of other Scoot applications to ensure feature consistency and alignment across all customer touchpoints.
  • Partner with Business Analysts, Developers, and Operation stakeholders to deliver product enhancements, prioritize and resolve defects.
  • Serve as the representative of the Scoot Ground Department for all Day-of-Travel (DOT) initiatives and issues.
  • Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new features to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • Oversee comprehensive regression testing across all check-in platforms to safeguard system integrity and customer experience.
  • Own end-to-end release management, including planning and coordinating feature rollouts, driving operational readiness and process updates, leading stakeholder communications and change management initiatives.
  • Respond to customer feedback on Scoot's self service check-in channels


Digitisation and AI Adoption

  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of all digital check-in channels.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly validate Business Continuity Plans (BCP) to mitigate operational risks.
  • Lead the Department’s digitalisation and AI adoption initiatives across identified focus areas to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Champion the adoption of IT and AI tools (e.g., JARVIS, Copilot) in daily work processes to drive productivity and innovation.
  • Drive digitalisation projects end-to-end, ensuring timely delivery, resolution of implementation issues, and sustained adoption across stakeholders.
  • Monitor and drive adoption rates and value realization of digital initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide management with regular updates and strategic oversight on digitalisation pipelines, project progress, and achieved outcomes.
  • Promote and embed Agile methodologies within the Ground Department to enhance project delivery speed, flexibility, and collaboration.


Station Audit

  • Execute scheduled audits and inspections in alignment with the established audit plan and compliance requirements.
  • Engage with auditees to ensure timely resolution and closure of findings.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management or related field from a recognised instituition.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence etc.) and Agile software development.
  • Experience with Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies.
  • Meticulous and strong in numerical analysis, report writing and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel internationally when necessary / within a short notice.

Preferred:

  • Possessing one of more of the following skills / experience will be advantageous:
  • Project Management Certification (e.g. PMP, Certified Scrum Product Owner/Scrum Master).
  • Proven experience in digitizing customer journeys and deploying self service solutions.
  • Experience in Aviation industry.
