Senior Supplier Quality Engineer (NPDI)
Vertiv is looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer responsible for supplier quality management, supplier development, qualification, auditing, and quality assurance activities for the Coil and Heat Exchanger commodity group. The role supports NPDI and serial production activities by ensuring supplier capability, compliance with engineering and quality requirements, and continuous supplier performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Qualify, evaluate, audit, and develop suppliers within the Coil and Heat Exchanger commodity.
- Lead supplier quality assurance activities during NPDI and serial production phases.
- Ensure activities related to material and component quality during development and industrialization phases.
- Coordinate and manage PPAP (Product Part Approval Process) activities with suppliers.
- Perform periodical supplier evaluations and supplier performance monitoring.
- Support supplier capability assessments and supplier improvement programs.
- Manage non-conforming material processes including containment, corrective actions, and return-back procedures.
- Coordinate supplier corrective actions and root cause analysis activities.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding all quality-related topics.
- Support Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Project teams regarding supplier quality matters.
- Ensure supplier compliance with drawings, specifications, standards, and customer requirements.
- Participate in supplier audits, workshops, inspections, and technical review meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience in procurement, sourcing, or commodity management within industrial equipment or manufacturing industries.
- Understanding of heat exchangers, coils, thermal systems, and fabrication processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working with international suppliers and project environments.
- Fluent English communication.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of pressure vessel standards and thermal equipment manufacturing.
- Knowledge of welding technologies and fabrication processes.
- Supplier quality and project procurement experience.
- Familiarity with welding and material specifications.

The anticipated salary range for this role in the Nové Mesto nad Váhom locality is between 33 739€ to 42 174€ gross per year —salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance and are role based. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Compensation ranges are determined based on objective, gender-neutral criteria including skills, experience, and job responsibilities.
