Senior Surgical Technician - Surgery- 09 FTE Variable
Under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse, the Senior Surgical Technician is responsible for surgical case preparation including allocation of appropriate surgical supplies and instrumentation and intraoperative organization of the sterile field. Facilitates the surgeons' needs by passing the appropriate sutures and instrumentation. Assists with the terminal cleaning of the surgical suite/instrumentation after the procedure has ended. In addition, this position encompasses advanced skills through advanced training and knowledge to actively participate in optimal patient care and improved perioperative performance.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training: Graduate from Surgical Tech Program.
- Coursework/Training: Complete competencies for all General Service Lines and 75% of Advanced Service Lines.
- Coursework/Training: Environmental orientation within 30 days of hire.
- Coursework/Training: Unit Specific competency within 90 days of hire.
- Upon hire: National Certified Surgical Technologist - National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 3 years Experience as an ORT.
- 2 years Vascular Surgery experience
