Senior Tax Reporting Administrator

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Analyzes, reviews and ensures Federal and state tax returns and informational filings are submitted accurately and within department standards and regulatory deadlines.

2. Analyzes, reviews and ensures tax forms are distributed accurately and within regulatory deadlines, including managing audit process.

3. Ability to research Federal and state regulations to resolve complex client and agency issues, engaging Global Tax and other internal partners when applicable.

4. Identifies, analyzes and documents trends and/or problems and determines methods of resolution that apply using all available resources. Provides management with appropriate updates on issues.

5. Evaluates internal control environment and ensures key internal controls exist and operate effectively.

6. Provides coaching, feedback, and technical support to other members of the department, including contractors. Assists in developing training manuals and procedures, delivers training to peers, and provides input to enhance the overall training experience.

7. Analyzes departmental statistics and uses available data to monitor problems and measure success. Develops creative and innovative ideas for resolving issues and overcoming obstacles. Works with management in the planning, development and execution of short- and long-range strategies to meet department and corporate objectives.

8. Ensures that all processing activities are performed in accordance with divisional policies and procedures. Maintains strong working knowledge of Tax Services reporting operations and compliance standards. Keeps abreast of legislative and regulatory tax developments

9. Oversees the day-to-day activities of contactors. Conducts reviews and audits of work performed and reviews errors as they arise.

10. Develops close working relationships with all appropriate internal and external business partners.

11. Gathers, reviews and summarizes key dashboard indicators. Identifies trends and ensures appropriate linkage to business risks. Identifies process improvements to increase efficiency within the department.

12. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum of three years related experience.
