Senior Accountant / Technical Accountant- Healthcare (Cardiology practices)

Location: Austin, TX- Hybrid (remote and in office)

Position Summary: technical execution + complex reconciliations + close ownership + integrations

The Senior Accountant / Technical Accountant will play a critical role in supporting the monthly close process, complex reconciliations, financial reporting, technical accounting analysis, and accounting integration initiatives across a growing multi-entity healthcare platform. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, operational ownership, and the ability to manage complex accounting activities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support monthly and year-end close activities
• Prepare and review complex account reconciliations and journal entries
• Support technical accounting research and accounting policy documentation
• Assist with multi-entity accounting and consolidation processes
• Support audit requests and financial statement preparation
• Assist with acquisition integrations and process standardization initiatives
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
• Support system implementations and accounting workflow improvements
• Maintain organized accounting support documentation and schedules
• Support training, mentorship, and development of junior accounting staff
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and executive leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Multi-entity and healthcare experience preferred
• Strong GAAP knowledge and close management experience
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, lean, high-accountability environment
