Senior Technical Instructor / Technical Instructor (Chinese Medicine) (25260779)

The Teaching and Research Division (CMTR) of School of Chinese Medicine invites applications for the post of Senior Technical Instructor / Technical Instructor (Chinese Medicine). The appointee will provide comprehensive support for the Chinese Medicine undergraduate programme.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide teaching assistance for undergraduate courses in Chinese Medicine (CM) including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) fundamentals, CM classics and CM clinical courses;
  • Organize seminars, teaching activities, voluntary services and visits;
  • Coordinate internship, teaching activities and assessment exercises for major, general education and elective courses offered by the Division;
  • Support the management of CM teaching laboratories and funded projects;
  • Support undergraduate recruitment and outreach to local schools (deliver TCM-related talks and workshops), and organize promotional activities; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Requirements:

  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Chinese Medicine; a pass in the Chinese Medicine Practitioners Licensing Examination recognized by the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong will be an advantage;
  • Demonstrate an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua), along with strong communication and interpersonal skills; and
  • Be a team player with a keen interest in teaching TCM.

Candidates with more experience may be considered for the appointment at the rank of Senior Technical Instructor.

The initial appointment will be on a fixed-term contract of one to two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to satisfactory performance and mutual agreement.

Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
