Senior Telecommunication Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall planning, design, installation, commissioning and optimization of voice, data and integrated telecommunication systems.
- Conduct routine inspection, fault diagnosis and emergency troubleshooting for telecommunication equipment, networks and lines to minimize downtime.
- Manage communication equipment assets, supervise equipment maintenance, upgrade and replacement work, and maintain complete technical records.
- Communicate and collaborate with vendors, operators and relevant authorities to Coordinate project delivery, technical support
and service acceptance. - Evaluate new telecommunication technologies and products, provide technical proposals and cost-benefit analysis for system upgrade and expansion.
- Lead technical support for projects, draw up operation specifications, maintenance plans and safety operation guidelines.
- Provide professional technical guidance and training to junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure all telecommunication operations comply with relevant industry regulations, company policies and HSE requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in telecommunication engineering, preferably in industrial, oil and gas, EPC, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of telecom systems, network infrastructure, communication equipment, and related standards.
- Proficient in mainstream telecommunication equipment, network architecture and communication protocols; familiar with
wired/wireless communication systems. - Strong ability to analyze and resolve complex technical and network faults independently.
- Good project coordination, communication and negotiation skills; able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a project-based environment and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Indonesian is an advantage.
- Experience in remote site or challenging field environments.
- Familiarity with telecom systems such as radio communication, fiber optic networks, structured cabling, data networks, and other industrial communication systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documents.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
