The Senior Valve Technician is responsible for the advanced inspection, repair, testing, and certification of industrial valves, including control valves and pressure relief valves. This role provides technical leadership in the field and shop, ensures compliance with industry standards, and supports safe, efficient operations for client facilities.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform diagnosis, disassembly, inspection, repair, and reassembly of industrial valves and actuators

Troubleshoot valve and actuator issues including pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems

Read and interpret P&IDs, isometrics, drawings, and OEM manuals

Serve as lead technician on jobs, directing junior technicians and helpers

Provide technical guidance, training, and quality oversight

Interface directly with clients, inspectors, and plant personnel

Perform on-site valve repairs, outages, and turnaround support

Mobilize tools, equipment, and parts to job sites

Maintain company vehicle, tools, and specialty equipment

Participate in after-hours callouts and emergency response work

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

5+ years of valve repair experience (including control and safety valves)

Ability to read blueprints, P&IDs, and technical documentation

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting capability

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
