About this position:
The Senior Vice President Commercial Lending Manager is responsible for loan portfolio management, growth and maintenance as well as the review of individual performance, training and guidance for a group of Commercial Lenders. The Senior Vice President Commercial Lending Manager will possess thorough knowledge of commercial lending policy and depository services as well as an understanding of the LMCU mission, vision and values, business model philosophy, risk tolerance and culture. In addition to insuring high standards for client service, work quality, presentations, and compliance with policies.
What you’ll do:
Commercial Lending Team Leadership
Lead and develop commercial loan officers through performance management, pipeline oversight, credit deal review, and strategic coaching while ensuring accurate forecasting, sound loan structuring, risk-based pricing, and compliance with lending policies.
Commercial Business Development
Originate, develop, manage, and grow a commercial loan portfolio consisting of C&I, investment real estate and development projects. This will be accomplished through prospecting, relationship management, creating lending solutions, pipeline management, and cross-selling of lending and depository products while maintaining strong member relationships and portfolio quality.
Commercial Credit Administration and Portfolio Management
Ability to analyze financial statements, assess credit risk, maintain accurate risk ratings, oversee annual reviews and loan renewals, ensure loan documentation compliance, manage loan closings, and monitor portfolio performance to maintain asset quality and minimize credit losses.
Compliance & Regulations
Maintains comprehensive knowledge of commercial banking policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to effectively manage business opportunities and achieve assigned production goals. Applies market knowledge and strategic business development skills to drive loan growth while ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field.
10+ years of experience as a senior commercial lender or related experience and prior management experience.
Solid financial analysis capabilities and understanding of financial statements.
Thorough knowledge of commercial lending policy, depository services, credit union/banking operations and ability to present the outcomes of complex, technical analytic approaches.
