About Us

Rhythm is about creating epic experiences for our customers, which starts with our people. We live by our values and put people first. We take pride in creating working and living environments that foster innovation, adventure, and balance. Working at Rhythm is more than a job, it's an experience you will have forever.

The Role

The Senior Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing our regional warehouses across Japan, working closely with local warehouse managers to achieve operational excellence in day-to-day logistics, goods receiving and storage, and operating an efficient replenishment process for Retail and Rental goods.

This is a collaborative management role focused on multi-site execution and precision. Your focus will center on two main priorities: first, stabilizing floor operations across locations, supporting our local teams, organizing our physical spaces, and maintaining a high level of data accuracy. Second, you will partner directly with our tech team and external contractors to help shape and deliver our new tech stack—providing essential operational feedback to ensure these systems are practical, effectively rolled out, and fully utilized across all locations for the long term.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Receiving, Deliveries & Replenishment Excellence

  • Own the inventory from the moment stock physically hits our warehouses until it is safely delivered in store.
  • Ensure all incoming goods are processed, verified, and logged into the system with minimal lag across all warehouse locations.
  • Collaborate closely with the product and merchandise department to meet business demand, execute mid-season inventory pivots, and ensure the right product is in the right store at the right time.
  • Optimize the replenishment cycle to ensure our retail and rental stores are stocked ahead of demand.
  • Oversee regional logistics execution, including team deliveries, truck driving, forklift operations, and general warehouse tasks.
  • Design and enforce clear, repeatable workflows to remove friction between central warehouses and storefronts.

Tech, Systems & Restock Evolution

  • Collaborate with our tech team and contractors to help design and implement improved restocking systems, defining what, how, why, and when we restock.
  • Act as the operational bridge between technical teams and warehouse operations, providing practical feedback to ensure new hardware and software tools fit real-world warehouse environments.

Multi-Site Operations & Floor Stability

  • Oversee our warehouse footprints across Japan, working with local managers to stabilize daily operations and maximize efficiency, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Maintain a high level of nationwide data accuracy through structured stock takes, routine cycle counts, and clean baseline inventory records.
  • Partner directly with store teams and local warehouse managers to investigate, resolve, and reconcile any inventory discrepancies between the warehouses and storefronts.

Training & System Ownership

  • Act as the primary system gatekeeper across all sites, staying deeply across warehouse technology from an ongoing operational perspective.
  • Ensure local warehouse managers train and hold their respective staff accountable for the correct, daily use of scanning hardware and digital tracking tools.
  • Ensure physical floor habits and daily routines strictly support the data integrity requirements of our inventory tracking systems.

Collaboration & Japan-wide Functionality

  • Maintain close alignment with frontline teams to seek regular input, foster team ownership, and drive overall success.
  • Ensure warehouse operations and logistics departments function seamlessly and are standardized nationwide across all Japan locations.

People and Team Management

  • Recruit, train, develop, and lead a high-performing team of warehouse managers and staff that reflects Rhythm’s company values.
  • Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and service excellence across all locations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and development planning with direct reports.
  • Lead team meetings and communicate business priorities, system/product updates, and key operational information.
  • Ensure team members maintain a high level of system knowledge, service skills, safety certifications, and brand awareness.
  • Ensure staffing levels, rostering, and labor budgets across all sites are managed in accordance with company objectives and policies.
  • Develop and maintain OH&S and compliance standards in accordance with company policies and Japanese law.

    What You Need to Succeed

    • Proven Experience: 5+ years of warehouse operations experience, with at least 2+ years in a senior or regional leadership role. Managing multi-site operations is a plus
    • Tech & System Problem-Solving: Strong experience with digital inventory systems and a knack for troubleshooting floor bottlenecks.
    • Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to collaborate closely with Merchandising, Tech, and Store Ops. English fluency is required; conversational Japanese is highly valued for coordinating with local partners.
