SENIOR WELDER
Job Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings and welding specifications to plan and execute welding tasks.
- Perform high-quality welding using MIG, TIG, and SMAW techniques on various metals and structures.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare materials and components by cutting, grinding, and fitting as per project requirements.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Mentor junior welders and ensure adherence to safety protocols on-site.
- Collaborate with fabrication, QA/QC, and site teams to meet project timelines and standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of welding experience in industrial, marine, or construction environments.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, WSQ, or equivalent).
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and welding techniques.
- Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces or elevated areas.
