Position Title: Senior Workplace Project Manager
This position resides within the Global Real Estate & Workplace Evolution (GRE & WE) organization.
The role reports to the Senior Global Director of Workplace Design & Project Delivery, who is based in New York.
Position Location: (HQ) NYC / 1211 6th Ave
Hybrid: The expectation for this role requires 3+ days per week in office, hours and days of which must align around business interactions, project delivery activities, and presence with clear purpose.
For work planned in active offices, occasional after-hours and/or weekend work to oversee project activities is expected.

The Dow Jones Global Real Estate & Workplace Evolution (GRE & WE) team creates and maintains an inspiring office portfolio. We deliver engaging, effective, and evolving employee experiences and workplace offerings across the globe.
As the Senior Workplace Project Manager, you will primarily focus on facilitating physical office projects, capital fit-outs, and staff relocations at our headquarters in Midtown Manhattan. Additionally, you will support other areas of our global portfolio as needed. Acting as the primary point of contact for multiple concurrent projects, you will ensure all activities align with Dow Jones' workplace standards, design guidelines, and operational processes.
You Will
Project & Move Management
End-to-End Delivery: Lead and manage multiple workplace projects ranging from small cosmetic updates and internal department moves to larger office interior refreshes.
Lifecycle Oversight: Own the entire project lifecycle from concept to completion—ensuring every project is properly scoped, budgeted, and delivered on time.
Documentation: Create and coordinate comprehensive project scope documents, including architectural drawings, project schedules, and cost estimates.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks (such as scope creep, budget overages, and schedule delays) and implement swift solutions to keep projects on track.
Move-Management Leadership: Act as a GRE & WE stakeholder for all user group moves at NYC HQ and select locations globally; actively manage and resolve incoming requests within the YourWorkplace dispatch queue in coordination with the Real Estate and Workplace Evolution leads.
Design, Strategy & Standards
Space Discovery: Partner with internal user groups to conduct space-need discovery sessions, translating business requirements into actionable real estate footprint designs.
Brand Consistency: Develop and implement workplace design and program standards that reflect the Dow Jones visual identity, values, and culture across all global offices.
Specification & Procurement: Research and develop standard furniture and finish specifications; partner with furniture dealers and vendors to maintain brand consistency.
Process Innovation: Adopt, innovate, and propose new tools, technologies, and workflows to drive operational efficiencies within the workplace team.
Vendor & Financial Administration
Partner Management: Work independently to manage general contractors, architects, designers, furniture dealers, and third-party vendors.
Financial Management: Oversee project administration duties including vendor onboarding, purchase order (PO/PR) creation, and invoice processing in close coordination with the Finance team.
You Have
7+ years of corporate environment project management experience, global experience preferred, specifically focusing on corporate interiors, workplace strategy, and construction management
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, or a related field (equivalent hands-on field experience will also be considered)
Industry Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the delivery of workplace Architecture & Design (A&D) projects, corporate real estate trends, and facilities management
Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional interpersonal skills and an enthusiastic approach to managing relationships across a diverse, global portfolio of business units with differing hybrid workplace needs
Communication Mastery: Proven ability to communicate complex project timelines, schedules, and business cases clearly to cross-functional stakeholders
Financial Acumen: Strong background in budget management, supplier onboarding, contract compliance, and corporate procurement processes
Technological Fluency: Proactively integrate modern tools and AI capabilities into your day-to-day operations to drive efficiency
Ability to work in our Midtown Manhattan office at least 3 days a week and work in the evening or during a weekend as business needs dictate

Base Pay Range: $110,000 - $125,000
