The Compliance Officer is responsible for supporting the organization’s adherence to regulatory, contractual, and internal compliance requirements. The role involves monitoring compliance controls, supporting audits, and providing guidance to operations to mitigate regulatory and operational risk
Key responsibilities
• Monitor operational activities to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, client requirements, and internal policies
• Conduct routine compliance reviews, quality checks, and control testing within assigned processes
• Identify, document, and escalate compliance gaps, policy deviations, and emerging risks
• Support audits, assessments, and regulatory or client inquiries by providing required evidence and documentation
• Track remediation plans, corrective actions, and closure of identified issues
• Provide compliance guidance and clarifications to operations and stakeholders
• Support compliance training, awareness initiatives, and policy dissemination
• Maintain accurate compliance records, logs, and trackers
• Working knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance relevant to the business (e.g., FDCPA, TCPA, AML, data privacy, consumer protection)
• Understanding of client contractual compliance requirements and service‑level obligations
• Awareness of first‑line compliance responsibilities within a three‑lines‑of‑defense framework
• Familiarity with internal policies, SOPs, and control requirements
• Basic understanding of audit, issue management, remediation tracking, and regulatory reporting concepts
• Ability to identify regulatory risks and translate requirements into operational controls

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, Risk Management, or related field
Work Experience Requirements
• 1–3 years of experience in compliance, risk management, audit, or regulated operations (preferred)
• Experience in operational or first-line compliance is an advantage
