HeyMilo is an AI recruiting platform that helps staffing firms, enterprises, and BPOs automate the repeatable parts of hiring so their recruiters can focus on the work that actually requires a human. We're early-stage, moving fast, and building the category from the ground up.

The Role

We're looking for an SEO & Organic Growth Lead to own our search presence and build the organic acquisition engine.

You'll be the first dedicated organic hire, reporting to the head of marketing, working as a true partner on content strategy, technical decisions, and how we show up across search and AI-generated discovery surfaces. This is an individual contributor role to start, with room to build a function as the company scales.


What You'll Own

Technical SEO
Site health, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, indexation, schema markup, internal linking, and everything that determines whether we rank at all. You don't need to write production code, but you need to know enough to work directly and influence frontend code and web infra, making smart tradeoffs when speed vs. SEO integrity is on the table.

AEO and AI Search Visibility
This is newer territory for everyone. You'll figure out how HeyMilo should show up in AI-generated answers, LLM-surface recommendations, and emerging discovery contexts. You'll test, learn, and build a point of view, we're not looking for someone who already has it all figured out, because no one has.

Keyword Strategy and Content Roadmap
You'll own the research and prioritization layer: which topics we go after, in what order, at what depth. You'll work closely with marketing on the actual content, writing support is available, but the strategy and briefing logic is yours.

Organic Performance Reporting
Clear visibility into what's working: rankings, organic traffic, lead attribution from organic channels, and what's moving or stalling. We want someone who builds a real measurement practice, not just a dashboard that nobody looks at.

Paid-Organic Feedback Loop
We run Google Ads campaigns and we want to make sure what we learn there (keyword intent, conversion signals, ICP behavior) informs what we build organically and vice versa.


What We're Looking For

You've done real technical SEO work not just the strategic layer, but the actual auditing, diagnosing, fixing, and iterating. You're comfortable in tools like Screaming Frog, Keyword Heo, Ahrefs, Search Console, and you know how to read a crawl report and turn it into a prioritized action list.

You also think about organic growth more broadly. You understand that a technically clean site that publishes nothing useful goes nowhere. You have opinions about content depth, topical authority, and what actually earns links vs. what just fills a calendar.

You're used to working without much infrastructure around you. There's no team to delegate to, no established playbook to follow, and no slow approval chains. You figure things out, move, and tell people what you learned.

Some familiarity with AI-adjacent content and B2B SaaS contexts is a plus. The HR tech space has its own search dynamics (high-intent, niche audiences, buyers who do real research), and some pattern recognition there goes a long way.

Experience range: We're open on years, but realistically you've been doing this for at least 3-4 years in contexts where you had real ownership.


What This Is Not

This is not a role where you'll hand off a strategy doc and wait for a team to execute it. There's no team yet. If you're energized by that, great. If you need existing infrastructure to be effective, this probably isn't the right fit right now.
