Server - Part Time

Trinity Landing is a waterfront senior community offering resort-style living and three distinct dining venues: a Bistro, Pub, and full-service Restaurant.

We are seeking Part-Time Servers for shifts available from 10:30 am–3:30 pm and 3:30 pm–9:00 pm on both weekdays and weekends. Multiple scheduling options are available Sunday through Saturday.

Candidates should demonstrate an outgoing demeanor and strong customer service abilities; prior serving experience is preferred.

Compensation: $18 per hour, with an additional $2/hour if benefits are waived

Position Summary: Dining Services staff are responsible for receiving food and beverage orders from residents, guests, and staff in a courteous and efficient manner. All responsibilities must be carried out to promote a fine dining atmosphere, comply with current regulations, and support facility objectives.

Essential Functions (reasonable accommodations may be provided):

  1. Welcome and seat residents, guests, and staff for meals and dietary programs.
  2. Complete table settings for scheduled dining room services, assisted living events, meetings, and special functions as required.
  3. Maintain cleanliness standards across all dining and event spaces, including tables, chairs, flooring, kitchen service areas, and lighting fixtures.
  4. Present menu items clearly and courteously to all diners.
  5. Accurately collect and deliver orders for beverages and meals to residents, guests, and staff.
  6. Verify the quality of servings and promptly address any issues.
  7. Remove dishes efficiently at the conclusion of each course or meal.
  8. Assemble and distribute meals to Assisted Living, resident apartments, and fulfill take-out requests as necessary.
  9. Manage and complete meal tickets accurately for each resident and submit them to the Cook.

10. Assist colleagues with duties such as dishwashing and detail cleaning.

11. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (reasonable accommodations may be provided):

Experience: Minimum of one year in restaurant service and one year specifically as a server (required).

Education: Adequate literacy to fulfill job requirements.

Additional Experience: Familiarity with the food service industry, patience, friendliness, and demonstrated problem-solving skills.

Skill Requirements: Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, and planning skills.

Specialized Knowledge/Licensure: Not applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Previous food server experience in fine dining or resort environments.
  2. Willingness to earn Heimlich maneuver certification within three months of employment.

  2. Proficiency in using tray stands and manual dexterity while distributing orders.
