Service Engineer

We are partnering with a well-established global marine engineering and control systems company to hire a Service Engineer (Electrical) based in Singapore. This is an exciting opportunity for candidates looking to develop their technical expertise within the maritime and offshore sector while gaining regional exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and maintenance of marine electrical and control systems onboard vessels and at shipyards.
• Attend vessels for service jobs, inspections, testing, and system diagnostics.
• Support installation and commissioning activities for navigation, propulsion control, steering control, and automation systems.
• Provide technical support and recommendations to shipowners, ship managers, and shipyards.
• Prepare detailed service reports and documentation following site attendance.
• Coordinate with internal teams and overseas principals to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures during all service activities.
• Support emergency service attendances and occasional overseas assignments when required.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in marine electrical systems, automation or control systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and electrical systems, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
