Service Sales Manager__
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive service sales processes, generate new opportunities, and secure profitable growth within the Motion Service division, focusing on Drives and primarily targeting End Users in Central and Southern Italy.
You will focus on increasing penetration of the Installed Base (IB) and promoting the full Service portfolio for Drives, including spare parts, service agreements, maintenance, training, digital , energy efficiency, and modernization solutions.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Penetrating the Installed Base by promoting upgrades, retrofits, and value-added solutions
Generating service sales leads and developing new business opportunities through market analysis and customer engagement
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with End User customers
Preparing, reviewing, and executing sales plans, including proposing recovery actions when needed
Applying channel strategies and supporting pricing definition
Acting as a promoter of ABB’s Service portfolio during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, customer meetings, conferences)
Ensuring a prompt and effective response to customer needs and issues
Qualifications for the role
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in industrial environments or automation
Availability for frequent business travel, including training and customer visits, mainly across Central and Southern Italy
Strong ability to establish strong customer relationships and foster long-term partnerships
Applies structured sales methodologies, managing pipeline, forecasts, and achieving targets aligned with business results
Technical background (technical diploma or engineering degree)
Solid knowledge or familiarity with Drives and industrial automation systems
Experience in service sales (e.g., contracts, maintenance, spare parts) is a strong plus
Strong customer orientation and business development mindset
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work both independently and within cross-functional teams (internal and external stakeholders)
Solid knowledge of spoken and written English and Italian
Compensation Package

Applicable CBA: Metalmeccanico
Minimum annual salary: € 36.000
Variable Pay: Eligible for Sales Incentive plan and Company Productivity Bonus
