Position Summary

The Service Supervisor oversees front-end operations to ensure a fast, friendly, and efficient customer experience. This role is responsible for supervising front-end associates, maintaining service standards, supporting operational execution, and assisting store leadership with daily front-end performance.

Key Responsibilities Front-End Operations & Execution

  • Oversee daily front-end operations, including checkout lanes, service desk, and customer flow

  • Ensure registers are properly staffed and lines are managed to minimize wait times

  • Monitor transaction accuracy, cash handling, and adherence to company procedures

  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of all front-end areas

Leadership & Team Supervision

  • Supervise, train, and coach front-end associates including cashiers, courtesy clerks, and service desk staff

  • Provide direction during shifts to ensure productivity, efficiency, and service excellence

  • Assist with scheduling, break coverage, and labor allocation

  • Address performance issues and reinforce company policies and expectations

Customer Service

  • Deliver a high level of customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience

  • Handle escalated customer concerns, returns, and service issues professionally

  • Promote loyalty programs, digital tools, and store initiatives

  • Ensure a friendly, welcoming atmosphere at all times

Cash Control & Compliance

  • Oversee cash handling procedures, including register counts, safe audits, and cash balancing

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and audit requirements

  • Support loss prevention efforts by monitoring front-end activity and identifying risks

  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of cash discrepancies

Store Communication & Coordination

  • Partner with store leadership and department teams to ensure smooth store operations

  • Communicate priorities, promotions, and operational updates to front-end associates

  • Support execution of store-wide initiatives and front-end programs
