Ship Broker

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Ship Broker is responsible for increasing the Company’s chartering activities in the Asia Pacific markets with focus on the dry bulk segment.

The duties include:

1. Build and maintain existing client relationships

2. Identify and develop new clients/markets

3. Conduct post fixtures support from start to end

4. Maintain a database of sales activities and produce management/operations reports

5. Prepare and analyse key market information reports

6. Follow up with contracts and correspondence and attend to queries

7. Attend meetings and events where required

8. Ad hoc duties as and when required to meet the needs of the business

9. Working hours may include London and US working time zones

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience

2. Diploma or Degree from a reputable institution

3. Strong commercial sense

4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

5. Good client management/ relationship building skills

6. Strong personal drive to succeed

7. Detailed and able to manage deadlines

8. Ability to work independently as well as in a team
